We also help readers determine which diets they should go for, what foods to avoid, and which exercise routines will work well.

Our team is composed of dedicated writers who possess extensive knowledge of medical research, nutrition, senior healthcare, and environmental science. If you have questions in any of these areas, trust our writers to have an article for it.

While we encourage reading our helpful advice, we still ultimately recommend visiting your doctor for a proper diagnosis. Consider our articles helpful additions in your pursuit of better health.

The Team Behind the Works

Paula McCray

Paula started her professional career as a journalist for a local paper in Ohio. Her love for words and covering current events led her to pursue a 10-year career in journalism before she concentrated on her writing. Paula’s next job as an editor for a health and wellness magazine introduced her into the world of in-depth medical research. Her stint as the health column editor fueled her fascination for nutrition, disease prevention, and other health trends.

The mother of two eventually moved on to other writing ventures before deciding to work as Health Research Policy’s editor-in-chief. Her son Eric inherited her interest in medical research and pursued a career in the field. He also contributes to Health Research Policy regularly.

Andrew Walden

Andrew comes from a family of medical professionals. They inspired him to get his nursing degree. As a graduate nurse (GN), he completed his academic studies but chose not to practice simply because he wanted to pursue his first love, writing.

Fortunately, Andrew found a way to combine his two passions: by writing about nutrition and health concerns for local magazines. He enjoys applying his nursing knowledge when writing about illnesses and possible remedies. Andrew particularly enjoys writing first-aid articles, which inform readers how to respond to emergencies.

Currently, Andrew is enjoying his job as a dedicated writer for Health Research Policy.

Camilla Floyd

Journalism graduate Camila Floyd started her career as a professional marketing writer for an organic food brand. Writing about organic alternatives to typical meals and snacks opened her eyes to healthier food options.

Camilla is in charge of the mental health and senior healthcare articles of Health Research Policy. She also writes about environmental science and its effect on the public’s health.

Together with her husband Kenny, she volunteers at the local hospital. They assist hospital employees in caring for patients and visitors. They also take charge of clerical duties, patient transportation, and socialization with the patients and their family members.
